Dear UPRA Contestant,
You have likely heard by now of the changes the NextGen Rodeo app has implemented. Although an official press release was released earlier, several questions have arisen to which we want to clarify exactly how this may or may not affect you moving forward when entering UPRA rodeos.
The NextGen Rodeo app will remain free to download.
Contestants will still be able to enter events, receive their draw number, and access the trade list inside the app, regardless of a NextGen subscription.
Each entry will still incur a $5 central entry fee withheld from the fees as it always has.
The association will have a dynamic link which updates our website with day sheets when the draw is finalized and published.
In order to have access to the enhanced NextGen features such as real-time results, event livestreams, advanced analytics, and personal videos you must be a NextGen Rodeo subscriber.
Post event results will be available on the UPRA website or in the app for subscribers.
NextGen Rodeo has elevated UPRA rodeos to the next level with minimal cost to its members and the association over the past 4.5 years with a continued effort of making the lives of rodeo contestants easier. The entire team at UPRA and NextGen Rodeo have spent months gathering information and feedback to determine a model that’s fair to all parties involved in rodeo event production. This new offering will allow NextGen to continually improve the platform for an enhanced user experience and all the while continuing with the level of convenience of entering UPRA rodeos.
The UPRA will continue working to make the entry process the best available to our members, every year the board of directors explores all avenues to make the UPRA the best association it can be, our promise to our members is we will continue to do so.
From all of us at UPRA, we want to say thank you for supporting UPRA rodeos and we look forward to the future of rodeo. This weekend is full of great events so we can’t wait to see you this weekend in Wichita Falls and Brownwood!
Sincerely,
UPRA
