The UPRA Hall of Fame was established in 2018 and is home to many remarkable cowboys and cowgirls. The Hall of Fame recognizes the men and women who have paved the way for success in rodeo industry and the United Professional Rodeo Association

WHO CAN NOMINATE?

Any current Sustaining, Associate Member or Previous Member of the United Professional Rodeo Association (UPRA) previous Texas Cowboy Rodeo Association (TCRA), previous Central Rodeo Association (CRA) Texas Professional Rodeo Association (TPRA) and Texas Rodeo Association (TRA) may submit a nomination. Sponsor is solely responsible for the accuracy of his/her nominee information. Incomplete or inaccurate bios will not be considered:

NOMINEE ELIGIBILITY

AGE: Nominee must be at least 40 years old. Special circumstances such as death or retirement may be considered.

CHAMPIONS: An individual winning a Championship in any of the above associations is eligible for nomination and induction regardless of age, this also includes stock contractors, personnel, committees, rodeos and animals.

NOMINATION PROCESS

STEP 1. Current Sustaining and Associate Members may submit nominations.

STEP 2. The Board of Directors will determine the categories and number of individuals for

induction in each category. Generally, the categories are as follows:

 * Men Contestants * Women Contestants * Rodeo Personnel * Trailblazers * Deceased * Rodeo Organizations, Committees and Groups * Rodeo Animals

STEP 3. The Hall of Fame Committee will select the appropriate number of FINALISTS in each category. To begin generally one, possibly two for each proposed Inductee position.

STEP 4. Hall of Fame Commission will vote on who is to be inducted.

STEP 5. The UPRA Hall of Fame reunion will be held in conjunction with the UPRA finals or a designated banquet the after once a year.

NOMINATION PACKAGE - REQUIRED MATERIAL

The completed Nomination Form. Must include a short, typed biography (approximately 200 words or less) stating the nominees rodeo history and why they should be in the United Professional Rodeo Association Hall of Fame. Nomination material is best submitted as a Word Doc via email but may be typed and mailed. A minimum of two photos of the nominee suitable for reproduction including at least 1 head shot and 1 action shot (If applicable)
