10, 2014 – The United Professional Rodeo Association Amnesty
Program begins today and will be available on fines (Turnouts/No Shows/Class A,
B, C Violations) until 11:59PM, August 2, 2014.
is the time for anyone on the UPRA suspended list to take care of fines because
you have the opportunity to save a lot of money, hundreds of dollars in some
cases. Fines dated before July 10, 2014 will be collected at the rate of 50% of face value; all fines with
the exception of return checks will be eligible. Fines may be paid in the UPRA
office by credit card or by cash/check at any UPRA rodeo with the secretary. To
pay by credit card, please call the UPRA Office at 903-873-6692. We
encourage anyone that is listed on the UPRA suspended list to take advantage of
this opportunity and resolve the issue at a deep discounted rate.
THE MISS UPRA AND MISS TEEN UPRA PAGEANT age divisions are 16-24 for Queen, 11-15 for Teen as of Jan 1,2014. There is a scholarship for the Queen division. DEADLINE IS SEPTEMBER 13, 2014 this is also the orientation meeting. Ω Texas Senate Bill 2505 requires a minor (Under the age of 18) to wear a bull riding helmet and a protective vest while participating in bull riding. Contestant assumes all responsibility to comply with state law.
Ω The UPRA sanctioned events are; BareBack Riding, Tie Down Roping, Ladies Breakaway Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling, Ladies Barrel Racing, Ranch Bronc Riding and Bull Riding.
