Announcements Day Sheets are up for Gatesville, Rodeo Gainesville and Caddo! We need to flood members of the House Transportation and Infrastructure with emails, fax, phone calls etc. to show opposition to this bill, in simple terms my friends, if a stock contractor's transportation cost doubles, you can be assured rodeo committee contracts will increase along with stock charges. Stock Contractors, Rodeo Committees, and Contestants will pay for the increase in cost. . Urgent action needed ASAP.....House Bill 305 - A ban on the transportation of all horses in double deck trucks WILL BE MARKED UP IN THE HOUSE COMMITTEE ON TRANSPORTATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE ON THURSDAY, JULY 29, 2010 AT 11:00 A.M. This means that there will be no hearing, only members can speak about the bill and offer amendments. The committee would then most likely vote on the bill. . The PRCA / UPRA is currently asking supporters to assist in opposing a bill that would ban the transport of all horses in double deck trailers. Stock contractors currently haul thousands of horses safely by this mode of transportation each year and a ban would seriously affect them. .
ACTION NEEDED: . Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Kenny McOsker, Kenny lost his life being kicked after his Bronc ride at the Galisteo, New Mexico rodeo, Sunday July 18. There has been a memorial fund set up at Wells Fargo Bank. (Kenny McOsker Family Memorial Fund) The family could really use prayers and help at this time. More....... Up Next ……….8 rodeos with $ 44,450.00 Added Money! Ω * Reminder: UPRA entries are first in, first choice, UPRA members, approved association sanction members and permit holders are treated equal. .
